Year 6 Art Tour - Tuesday 15th October
The guided Street Art tour conducted by a Melbourne street artist will take the students through Blender Studio and various Melbourne lane ways, teaching them the differences between commissioned street art and illegal damage caused by vandals.  Introducing them to the concept of “Art is Art, Damage is Damage, know the difference.” This part of the excursion will be the introduction to what the students will be learning about in the art room in term 4. The guided tour of the National Gallery of Victoria, Federation Square (NGVA) will expose students to varying art forms and different ways of creating and displaying art works whilst teaching the important lesson of Gallery etiquette. Students will also spend some time having a sketching session on the steps of Federation Square, “Sketching what you see”.
