Term 2 Week 8

Supporting mental health & wellbeing

It can be challenging to process and manage changes to routines and the uncertainty that comes with COVID-19 and related restrictions – including moving to remote learning.

To support our school community during this time, resources and support are available for parents, carers and families.

These resources will help to support the mental health and wellbeing of our students and the young people in our care during this time.

I encourage everyone in our community to access these resources and take care of themselves during this time.

Services and support for students and their families

Quick Guide to Student Mental Health and Wellbeing resources is available for students, parents and carers looking to access expert guidance and resources to support wellbeing.

Supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our students remains our priority this year, especially during the continued COVID-19 pandemic and while students are learning from home during the current circuit breaker restrictions.

For students, the guide includes resources to support their own mental health and wellbeing.

The guide also includes resources and supports for parents and carers to help them build their child’s physical and mental health and wellbeing. This includes:

Wellbeing guidance for parents and carers is also available:

Parent Teacher Interviews 21st - 24th June UPDATE

Dear parents/carers,

As you will know, parent teacher interview appointments are now open for booking through XUNO. Despite the new COVID restrictions, interviews will still take place in Week 10, according to the original booking times.

However, as we are bound by the latest Schools Operations Guide which states that we must limit the number of non-essential visitors, these meetings will not be able to take place in person, they will be phone interviews only.

Each meeting will still run for 10 minutes. Classroom teachers will ring contact numbers listed on XUNO. Please be ready for your interview as teachers will need to keep to their interview schedules. Also, please be aware that these calls may show as private numbers.

EAL interviews will still be postponed until the start of Term 3, until such time as we can guarantee parents are allowed to meet onsite with interpreters

_____________________________________________________________

Dear parents/carers,

Parent teacher interviews will take place in Week 10 this term. These meetings are an opportunity for you to discuss your child’s Semester 1 report, which will be available on Xuno Friday 18th June. Each meeting will run for 10 minutes.

In the event that COVID restrictions prevent parents/carers coming onsite we will hold phone interviews, in which staff will ring the parent contact numbers listed on Xuno. Phone interviews will take place in the same time slot you book online.

Regardless of restrictions, if you would prefer to have your interview over the phone, you can request to do so. We will send out details as to how you can request your preference of either ‘phone’ or ‘in person’ in the coming weeks.

Interview bookings will be open on Xuno from 9am Monday 7th June. You will need to login to your Xuno account to access the booking page and choose your time.

Interviews will take place between 3.30-5.00pm on Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th June. Please note that classroom teachers have each selected three of these dates to hold interviews. This is to accommodate part-time staff who work on different days.

Specialist teachers are also available for interviews. You will need to message them directly or contact the office to book a time. Sarah Sherratt will be unavailable for interviews in Week 10 as she will be away on long-service leave. However, if you would like to book a time you can contact her directly through Xuno.

EAL interviews have been postponed until the start of Term 3, until such time as we can guarantee parents are allowed to meet onsite with interpreters.

End of Term 4 - Friday 19th December 2025 at 1.10pm

Term 4 finishes on Friday 19th December 2025 and all students will be dismissed at 1.10pm.  Please make sure your child is collected on time, or alternative care arrangements made.

If you need after school care please contact Camp Australia.

CSEF applications close on 26th June 2026

Every Victorian child should have access to the world of learning opportunities that exist beyond the classroom. The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund helps ensure that no student will miss out on the opportunity to join their classmates for important, educational and fun activities.

It is part of making Victoria the Education State and the Government’s commitment to breaking the link between a student’s financial circumstances and their outcomes.

School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors. Excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works while sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership. All are a part of a healthy curriculum.

CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school excursions, camps and sporting activities.

If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or  support an out of home care student you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The allowance is paid directly to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

HOW TO APPLY

New applicants should contact the school office to obtain a CSEF application form or download from the website below.

If you applied for CSEF at your child's school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.

You only need to complete an application form if any of the following changes have occurred:

  • new student enrolments: your child has started or changed schools this year.
  • changed family circumstances: such as a change of custody, change of name, concession card number, or new siblings commencing this year.

Check with the school office if you are unsure.
