Tin will compete in the State Finals in Ballarat later in the year. Tin has also been invited to train for Melbourne City, Melbourne United and Melbourne Victory. Congratulations and Good Luck!

Thank you to all the students who competed in the Athletics Days at Werribee Primary School. Everyone braved the cold weather and had a great time competing and trying their best. The teachers and student helpers were all amazing on the days and it couldn’t have run so well without you all.
Some great results from some students who will now compete at the District Athletics Day in August :)
Thanks Simon (Physical Education)
We encourage parents, carers and students to:
Flu vaccination is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and over.
Some people are more at risk of severe illness from flu and are eligible for free vaccination as part of the National Immunisation Program.
Flu vaccinations can be booked through GPs and pharmacies. Many can give a COVID-19 booster at the same time.
The COVID-19 booster dose is available for everyone aged 18 and over. Regular COVID-19 vaccinations are the best way to prevent severe illness or hospitalisation, especially in people aged over 65 and those at higher risk of severe illness.
Children aged between 5 and 17 years who are at risk of severe illness can also receive a booster dose.
You can get your booster at your local pharmacy or GP. The COVID-19 vaccine clinic finder can tell you if you need a booster, and where to get one.
RSV is a common virus that causes colds and ear infections. In babies, it can cause severe illnesses like bronchiolitis.
The RSV vaccine is available for pregnant women as part of the National Immunisation Program. In Victoria, eligible babies can also get the RSV vaccine until Tuesday 30 September 2025. For more information, refer to Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) immunisation.
You can speak with your GP or midwife about the vaccine.

Have your say about this year’s Prep bags in a short survey, closing Sunday 9 July. Each year, the Department of Education gives every Prep student attending a Victorian government school a bag full of goodies to celebrate this milestone in their education journey.
The information and educational resources in the bags are designed to help Prep students and their families thrive from the start of Term 1.
The department is inviting parents and carers of current Prep students to participate in a short survey about the 2023 Prep bags, by 5 pm on Sunday 9 July 2023.
Your feedback will help the department learn what families liked about the Prep bags and what can be improved in 2024.
You can have your say at 2023 Prep Bags – Evaluation Survey.
The survey takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete, and responses are anonymous.
For more information on this year’s Prep bags, refer to Prep bags.
Well done to the 45 students who represented Werribee Primary at Presidents Park on Tuesday 9th May for the annual District Cross Country. Students competed in rain, wind and sun and gave their all to be the champions on the day against 8 schools.

Dear families, While we know sleep is essential for good health, research shows that many children and young people are not getting enough sleep on school nights. This can affect thinking, concentration, memory, reaction times and mood.
Research shows about 12% of primary school-aged children, a quarter of 12- to 15-year-olds and half of 16- to 17-year-olds don’t get enough sleep on school nights. The recommended amount of time to sleep for primary school-aged children is 9 to 11 hours. For teenagers, it’s 8 to 10 hours.
Signs that your child is not getting enough sleep can include:
