Werribee Primary School has been part of this community since 1855, and that history is something we're proud of. But what matters most to us is today — the students in our classrooms right now, and the kind of learners and people they're becoming.
Our purpose is simple: "We are an inclusive community that strives for excellence." Everything we do is guided by three values:
- Respect — we care for ourselves, others and the environment
- Responsibility — we are accountable for our actions and our learning
- Resilience — we learn from our challenges and keep a positive attitude
These aren't just words on a wall. They shape how our staff teach, how our students treat one another, and how we work alongside families every day — from our student wellbeing support to hands-on learning opportunities like robotics and our Read Write Inc. literacy program.
We believe education works best as a partnership. That's why we regularly open our doors through Open Classroom Mornings and Foundation transition sessions, so families can see learning happen first-hand. Children notice when parents and carers are involved, and they benefit from it — so consider this your invitation: get involved, ask questions, come and visit. We also welcome parent volunteers into our classrooms and school activities throughout the year — it's a wonderful way to be part of your child's learning journey and get to know our school community.
