Mrs Jo-anne Wembridge and her BEST team (Biodiversity Education Student Team) helped to motivate and educate the children towards improving sustainability practices at school.
In 2017, we were the Number 1 Victorian Sustainable Energy School of the Year.
We were also named as one of the Top 4 Victorian:
- Sustainability Leadership School of the Year
- Water School of the Year
- Waste School of the Year.
In 2015 and 2016 ResourceSmart Schools Award, we were one of the Top 4 Victorian Energy School of the Year.

In 2015 and 2016, Werribee Primary School was selected as a finalist in two categories in the Keep Victoria Beautiful, Sustainable Cities Awards. The two categories were Active Schools and Litter Prevention.
In 2015, Werribee Primary School was Regional Award winner in the Victorian School Garden Awards!
In 2015, Werribee Primary School was successful in obtaining a Community Environment Grant titled - The World is in Our Hands for $22000 from the Wyndham City Council.
The money was used to install solar panels; and support an education program to inform the wider community about how to save energy. Congratulations to Mrs Jo Wembridge for making this possible.
